The convention is now fast approaching, with just over a month to go we've been planning how to make this year's convention the best one yet. To begin with, we will be all sitting together to enjoy either Robert's famous "chilli con carne", or his equally satisfying and scrumptious "mac and cheese". Jason and I have also been organising some competitions and activities for which there will be a handful of precious prizes up for grabs. There will also be a prize for the "Best Cake" competition, so if there are any bakers out there, show us what you've got! There may also be a chance to come have a tour of "The Lodge Studios" where we all live, eat, sleep and of course, record.

For the evening we will move into the garden where we will have a huge marquee, even bigger than last time for those who were there, for the live music. The night will open with a unique solo performance from the Godfather himself, Robert John Godfrey. Expect to be taken on a journey as the genius behind The Enid's music lays bare his musical voice to be heard in all its beauty, emotion, and glory. This is a rare opportunity to see RJG perform solo, and will surely be one to remember.

After RJG we will then be bringing you some bands from our hometown. Via Dolorosa, fronted by Jason's sister, Hailey, are a punk/rock quartet and have been likened to Skunk Anansie and Blondie. Also at the very end of the night, we will be graced by VHS Pirates, Northampton's finest underground party band. A mix of frenetic Folk, Ska, Dance, Funk, Reggae and a sprinkle of 80's pop guaranteed to blow the roof off, or in this case the tent. They are rebels that remind and inspire your body and mind to celebrate life.

Before them, however, we will, of course, be performing on stage for you - for the first time this year - at full strength! All the hard work we are putting in now is building up to the 17th March. Those of you who've caught any of our recent live broadcasts via Facebook will know we are performing much of the material completely raw, with our own little twist. It will also be Jarrod Elks' first performance with the band and your first chance to meet our new guitarist in the flesh. If you missed any of our recent live performances the just click here to see them!

If that's not enough, this event will be the first chance to buy our new tour record, which will not be on sale online, so if you want to hear the latest from the band, you're going to have to come a get it off us personally! The last note to mention is that you will be able to pick up this year's free Enidi gift, which we are very happy to give to you personally!

We would love to see you on the 17th in our local and share a brew, some stories, and good music with you.
